📁 Step 1: Upload KDP Report

📋 KDP Report Instructions

From KDP Dashboard:

  1. Go to Reports → Royalty Reports
  2. Select the month you want to import
  3. Download the Excel file (.xlsx)
  4. Upload the Excel file directly here

System will automatically: Extract data from the "Total Earnings" sheet, parse all required columns, detect the reporting period, and handle currency conversion.

💱 Currency Conversion Notice

KDP reports royalties in local marketplace currencies. This import process will:

  • Extract data directly from Excel "Total Earnings" sheet
  • Import raw data with original currencies preserved
  • Convert all amounts to USD using latest exchange rates
  • Create USD transactions for consistent reporting

Make sure you have current exchange rates loaded! Update Currency Rates →

📄 KDP Excel File Requirements

Required Format:

  • Standard KDP royalty report (.xlsx format)
  • Must contain "Total Earnings" sheet
  • Standard KDP columns: Title, Author, ASIN, Marketplace, etc.
  • Period information in the first few rows

What happens next:

  • System parses Excel file and extracts reporting period
  • Validates all required products exist (creates missing ones)
  • Converts currencies to USD using current exchange rates
  • Imports raw data and creates transactions automatically
